Jamie Oliver has branded Sarah Palin a “Froot Loop” after she criticised Barack Obama’s healthy eating initiatives.

The celebrity chef hit out at Palin because she criticised President Obama’s recent signing of a bill that provided extra money for free school meals and expanded a government nutrition programme.

Oliver backed the Obama administration in its bid to transform eating trends and to implement a nutrition programme.

Palin is “clearly on this issue is a Froot Loop”, Oliver said.

He also believes it is worrying times for the US in terms of diet and that the nation is in a “really dark moment” when it comes to children’s health.
