Ad of the Week: PETA encourages lovers to go vegan in slightly disturbing advert

What is good sex? According to animal rights campaigners PETA, the sight of your girlfriend hobbling down the street while wearing a neck brace. Yes, seriously.

That's the first image of the group's controversial new advert 'Boyfriend went Vegan'. Apparently, a life without delicious chicken leads to boyfriends everywhere who can "can suddenly bring it like a tantric porn star". Right...

The clip has offended numerous commentators in recent days as many have accused the advert's tone as initially similar to those of campaigns regarding domestic violence. In any case, it appears to us as PETA are trying a little too hard to create a new mystique surrounding male vegans.

If you ask us, they should've gone with a more convincing male actor in the final few seconds than the celery-munching ectomorph that plays 'Jessica's' boyfriend. That guy can drop the hammer? Yeah, right.
