Video: You've seen the moonwalk, but have you seen the super moonwalk?

Brilliant and all as it is, the Michael Jackson moonwalk is also responsible for spawning thousands of mostly awful imitations... except for this one.

Try and say that you’ve never attempted a moonwalk in your life and I’ll call you a liar. Irish people, like any other, are hopelessly affected anytime we hear a Michael Jackson song on a night out and, putting embarrassment to one side, will try and fail miserably to replicate the dance that the King of Pop made so famous during his heyday.

As brilliant a job as MJ did with the moonwalk, however, he doesn’t hold a candle to 25-year old street performer Eric Nash, who earlier this week uploaded a video of his own souped-up version of the dance that he performed in front of astonished spectators in Santa Monica recently.

Using the wet ground to his advantage, Nash takes huge giant strides where Jackson took baby steps and moves across the ground faster than we’ve seen anyone do in a long time, certainly while doing it backwards.

It’s hard to explain the science behind Nash’s masterpiece, but with well over half a million views in two days, we weren’t the only ones who thought it incredibly impressive.

Check it out for yourself in the video above.
