Drink Aware are launching a new ad campaign which aims to open the eyes of Irish drinkers to pacing themselves. JOE has the exclusive video for you right here.

We’ll assume you’ve never been in a situation where you drank that bit too much that bit too quickly, but we all have at least one friend who can be guilty of it.

It takes your body roughly an hour to break down one standard unit of alcohol. (One standard unit is one pub measure, a small glass of wine or a glass of beer. So a pint is two...)

The new Drink Aware TV ad airs for the first time on national TV tomorrow (Wednesday) and you can see it at the top of the page, while below is the new radio ad, also launching on Wednesday.

So now you know, right? And just in time for the long weekend too...
