More Olympic madness this lunchtime as we look back the Men's Javelin World Record set back in 1984 by West Germany's Uwe Hohn. Now, while specification did change for the event both in 1986 and 1989, this is still a whopper throw, which will never be beaten.

If you're an 80-year-old woman, skydiving shouldn't really be the first thing that pops into your mind for an afternoon activity. But for Laverne Everett that's exactly what she wanted to do. When it came time for getting out of the plane though, she wasn't quite as enthusiastic and the fact that her harness wasn't fastened properly shows she had some reason to be worried. Luckily even ended up OK after a pretty shocking fall.
