The Triplet

Today's Triplet: Peter the great and a bull gone bonkers
We don't know how Peter Canavan's greatness at club level has gone unappreciated all these years, while we also hark back to another tale of bovines gone barmy in the retail sector.
Sporting Pick: If you thought Peter Canavan was good for Tyrone, see what he was like at club level
He was good enough at inter county level to be given the ‘God’ moniker, so for years GAA followers have wondered just how good Peter Canavan was at club level. Thankfully we don’t have to wonder anymore as the leading member of the Canavan appreciation society has put together a five-minute highlight reel of the great man's best scores for Errigal Ciarán through the years.
You will no doubt marvel at the sheer brilliance and variety of some of the scores, but what we can’t get over is Canavan’s strength; he’s knocking over lads twice his size for fun throughout this clip.
Daily Download: Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds – AKA... What a Life
He rocked Croker with the Red Hot Chili Peppers last night and announced that he’ll be back for more with Kasabian in October, which is great news. Here’s our favourite track from his most recent album, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, AKA... What a Life.
Viral Clip: A bull in a Ballinrobe supermarket
Footage of a cow inexplicably wandering around and subsequently, eh, relieving herself, in a supply store in Ennis went viral last week, bringing to mind memories of the time a young bull went on the rampage in a supermarket in Ballinrobe, Co. Mayo a few years back, having escaped from the mart nearby.
Our favourite part of the clip occurs about 1:05 into the video below, when a farmer chases the bull down an aisle of the supermarket, before quickly retracing his steps and running desperately for cover. And we thought it was in china shops were bulls did most of their damage.
