Not surprisingly, Kim Kardashian is high on the list, as are Kelly Brook and Kylie Minogue, but none of those beautiful backsides claimed the number one spot.

According to The Sun newspaper, American model Kate Upton has the best rear end on the planet, with readers voting that the 20-year old’s rear end is easier on the eye than second placed Kim Kadarshian and South African Victoria’s Secret Model Candice Swanepoel, who claimed third place in the hole poll.

Hard to argue with that

Fame-hogging Welsh vixen Imogen Thomas came in fourth place, with Holly Willoughby, Kelly Brook and Nicki Manaj also featuring on a list where there wasn’t an Irish arse in sight.

The red-top was inspired to seek the opinions of its red blooded male readership and, of course, its female readers who appreciate a good bum when they see one, after Coronation Street actress Shobna Gulati won the Rear of the Year title in the UK earlier this week.

It probably won’t surprise you to learn that Gulati didn’t feature in The Sun’s top ten, with number one Upton receiving a fairly substantial 20 per cent of nearly 25,000 votes to claim the top prize.

It’s a fairly bum deal that Kate won’t be even given a few quid after topping the poll, but as one of the most sought after models in the US and with a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover under her belt, we reckon she’ll be alright.
