But you better book fast

Fancy a night or two away?

You can now spend the night in an entire self-catering Irish pub, thanks to Airbnb.

Conroy’s Old Bar in Aguish, Co Tipperary has been converted into a holiday rental after years as a fully-functional pub.

And while it’s still got the original highly polished mahogany bar, bar pumps, optics and the original till, it’s now being billed as the world’s first self catering pub.

It also has a “fully functioning kitchen” nestled in behind the bar, alongside a full size cooker and a fridge.

The Airbnb rental is often referred to as “The Pub With No Beer” – as it no longer holds a liquor licence.

There’s a large lounge area with a cosy open fire, and plenty of pub games and books to enjoy while you kick back and relax.

The old snug beside the lounge has been transformed into a double bedroom with an ensuite, while the former cellar/keg storage now houses a king sized bed.

The space can hold up to four people – plus a cot, for anyone looking for a spot for a family getaway.

There’s a two night minimum stay for anyone hoping to spend their holidays in Conroy’s, with the prices coming it between €90 and €100 per night, plus fees.

The venue’s proven to be a hit with fans, with plenty of 5 star reviews from former guests.

And there’s plenty of activities to do just a short drive away.

The Airbnb listing reads: “Only a short walk from Conroy’s Old Bar you will find the village pub and a lovely children’s playground. There is also a church and the village hall. Within a 20 mile radius you will find fishing, boating/sailing, water sports, walking, cycling, golf, horse riding/hunting, photography, go carting or even astronomy and genealogy.”

But you better book fast – Conroy’s has already got reservations for Summer 2018.
