Charming, cheesy and a little bit creepy: The chat up lines of Christmas

When going in for the kiss underneath the mistletoe there are so many strategies which can be used. Of course some are more tactful than others. The jury is still out on where chat up lines lie on this spectrum, but either way, they're good fun. Here are some of our festive favourites. Line: Can I have a picture of you so I can show Santa what I want for Christmas? Likely reply: A good line to get a selfie with a hottie. Just make sure you've your best pose on. Rating: 2.5/5. Be careful, you never know how those selfies will turn out.   Line: Shouldn’t you be sitting on top of the tree, Angel. Likely reply: If you keep quoting terrible chat up lines, you'll be sitting on top of a tree. Rating: 4/5. Incredibly cheesey. Just what a good chat up line should be. Line: Other than me, what are you asking Santa for this year? Likely Reply: A restraining order. Rating: 1.5/5. A little bit too confident... even for JOE.   Line: If you come over to my place, I'll make sure you don't have a silent night Likely reply: *Quickly walks away. Rating: 0.5/5 - Not a great idea to assume. Line: I've checked my list twice and you're definitely naughty? Likely reply: Usually a sigh. Rating: 3/5. The right level of cheeky. Line: How much do all of Santa’s reindeer weigh? Enough to break the ice. Possible reply: Giddy laughter, followed by a lovely smooch under the mistletoe. Rating: 5/5. A great introduction and the winner of the best festive chat up line.
