A new style of shirt has been released this week that could put paid to embarrassing social incidents everywhere - sweat-proof shirts.
The scourge of soaked armpits - be they a regular fixture in the workplace or on nights out - could be finally eliminated by a new range of shirts from M&S, which arrive this week amidst a surprising bout of prolonged sunshine in Ireland.
The perspiration-proof shirts, released under a Dri-Guard range, boast 'Smartweave' technology to draw sweat away from the skin and into the inner fabric, where it becomes dispersed as vapour.
"Sweat patches can be an embarrassing problem for men, especially when travelling to and from work on an overcrowded transport," said Mark Yates, M&S Menswear, Head of Innovation and Quality ahead of this week's launch.
"The 'Dry Extreme' shirts provide the ultimate solution to sticky situations, offering a smart shirt with the hidden benefits to avoid wet patches and discolouration.
"The shirts were a sell out success when launched, and we are therefore delighted to be offering them again to more men across the nation."
The shirts were initially released in a limited range last summer and sold like hot, sweaty cakes, so it's no surprise to see them back again just in time for a sweltering season of weather.
