JOE hates being the bearer of bad news but the window of opportunity to get yourself a free McDonalds breakfast is closed for now. If you were lucky enough to stop into one of Ronald McDonald's many gafs around the country, then you probably managed to get your hands on a free Egg McMuffin as part of their promotion, Free Breakfast Friday. As you can imagine, people around the country went mad. Really mad. O'Connell Street in Dublin was as crowded as you would expect.

Here are the queues in Phibsboro, Dublin. The poor staff must have had hoards of people to deal with.
