Hear about the Irish woman who became an unlikely YouTube star?
An Irish woman at the centre of a road rage incident in the UK became a YouTube star recently, but for all the wrong reasons.
The woman in question, who we’re pretty sure is Irish if her accent is anything to go by, caused major traffic delays in Bradford before Christmas when she tried to drive down a street which had been blocked off in preparation for the turning on of the Christmas lights by former Monty Python star John Cleese.
A man nearby began to film the footage of the traffic problems being caused by the woman’s seemingly totally unnecessary obstacle, until she emerged from her car to accost the amateur film-maker, and with some venom too.
She tries to take the phone from him at first and a fairly lengthy argument ensues between the pair. Both threaten to call the police on one another, while the woman deviously claims that she will tell police that the man tried to assault her.
Later in the clip (about six minutes in), the woman’s husband becomes involved and when the clip ends after seven minutes, all three parties involved are still shouting the heads off one another.
Nobody emerges well from the episode at all and the clip was initially taken down from YouTube after it attracted string of nasty comments from Bradford residents who attacked the woman, published the name of her store, her phone number and e-mail address and encouraged people to boycott her shop and send her abusive messages.
Women drivers, eh? What are ya gonna do?
Check out the angry exchange for yourself in the video above.
