Video: Ridiculously lucky Russian man survives five-vehicle pile-up at a petrol station

When two trucks and three other vehicles collide (at a petrol station of all places) one would expect carnage, but only one person suffered minor injuries in an incredible incident in Russia recently.

Earlier this week we showed you footage of a van exploding in the middle of a Russian highway, but it turns out it's not the only bizarre incident to have occurred on Russian roads of late.

In a separate incident, a bus carrying 30 passengers was forced to swerve abruptly into a petrol station as a truck turned into its path on a motorway after crossing over from the opposite side of the road.

With the bus unable to come completely to a halt because it was going too fast, it was forced to turn into the petrol station alongside the truck, with both vehicles careering into the pumps at high speed.

If the passengers of the bus and the driver of the truck thought they were in danger, one poor fella who was in the courtyard of the petrol station must have been convinced he was done for.

Both vehicles came flying towards him, but luckily for him, he was positioned in the middle of the two of them and was lucky that they hit each other first, sending the truck ever so slightly to his right and taking out a nearby van at the same time.

Thankfully and amazingly, only one passenger on the bus reported minor injuries, incredible really when you consider that there were two other cars caught up in the collision as well as the bus, the truck and the van.

Russian police are believed to be launching an investigation into an incident to see who was at fault, but to save them the bother, we’re pretty sure the truck driver was to blame for the mayhem that transpired.

Check out the astounding footage and the incredibly lucky escape of the poor fella caught up in it all in the video above.
