Have you ever wondered what a tyre explosion looks like at 1000 frames per second? Well wonder no more...

There’s nothing like a super slow motion video of something exploding or being shredded to pieces, so for all the petrol heads out there here’s a nice little video. It comes from the professional drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr. as he burns rubber like it’s going out of fashion.

Now, the true petrol heads out there might wince at the sight of the stylish lime green rims getting shredded to bits by the pavement, but in fairness it’s worth it. It’s a pretty cool video and at least you now know what it looks like when a tire blows out.
