The lads from MicksGarage.com have already covered how to change your engine’s oil and filter and now this week they’re showing you how to change brake pads.

It’s safe to say that the brakes are easily one of the most important parts of your car. It’s all well and good being able to get your motor up to 160kmh in under five seconds, but can you stop before you hit that oncoming brick wall? Not without brakes you can’t.

That’s why it’s of the utmost importance to keep a close eye on your brake pads. You could always head down to a mechanic to get your pads changed, but why bother when you can do the job yourself with just a few tools, some elbow grease and a set of new brake pads.

You’ll need a jack, an axle stand, flathead screwdrivers, a breaker bar, pliers, ratchet and some hex sockets. It’s not an overly complicated job so just watch Rob from MicksGarage.com in the video above and he’ll show you what needs to be done.
