While we're all looking for something to fill that Westeros-sized hole in our hearts for the months ahead, we have to be content in knowing that Daenerys is now coming for Cersei's newly acquired Iron Throne, Jon Targaryen (it still feels weird saying that) is currently the King in the North (said in our best shouting voice) and that Lyanna Mormont is the baddest badass in the Seven Kingdoms.
There are plenty of other plot strands that are left to be resolved though but one of the longest running question marks surrounds the future of Gendry, the illegitimate son of King Robert Baratheon. When we last saw the blacksmith, he was fleeing the fiery fate that Stannis and Melisandre had planned for him on Dragonstone after they wanted to sacrifice him to the Lord of Light.
With Ser Davos' help, Gendry managed to escape via his little rowboat but we haven't seen him since the finale of Season 3.
Even the actor who plays Gendry , Joe Dempsie, has been making fun of his characters absence.

Speaking on the UFC unfiltered podcast, Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss have revealed that Gendry is still a part of their plans but he has been a bit busy recently.
Dan: “He’s still rowing.”
David: “Yes, he’s still rowing. It’s a long, a very long—”
Dan: “He’s coming up on Florida.”
David: “He’s getting in great shape. Think of the shape he’s in after rowing for four seasons.”
With Euron Greyjoy and Dany both having fleets in the sea, surely it's only a matter of time before one of them meets Robert's bastard on the open ocean. Then again, maybe Gendry has gotten so good at rowing that he's finally reached the Jade Sea.
