Time to clear some space in the trophy cabinet.

You know it's award season in Hollywood when two things happen. 1) Ricky Gervais decides to take the piss out of everyone in Tinseltown and 2) the Golden Globes ceremony takes place.

While there was no gongs for Saoirse Ronan or Michael Fassbender on the night, Lenny Abrahamson's 'Room' continues its impressive award winning streak with Brie Larson winning the award for Best Actress in a drama.

The Revenant and its star Leonardo DiCaprio were also celebrating, an omen for the Oscars perhaps? They can't keep him waiting forever.

Here's the list of winners in full.
