Garry Marshall, the creator or producer behind Happy Days, Laverne & Shirley, The Odd Couple and Mork & Mindy, has died aged 81 following complications from pneumonia after having a stroke.
Behind the camera, he’s best known for being the director of the box-office hits Pretty Woman, The Princess Diaries , Beaches and Runaway Bride. His most recent film was the April release Mother’s Day.
Colleagues, friends and fans were swift to pay tribute to him on social media.
