Domhnall Gleeson has been speaking about losing out on an award to his father and then accepting it on his behalf, all while the taxi he was travelling in crashed.
In a genuinely illuminating interview on
RTÉ Radio 1 with Ryan Tubridy, Gleeson talked about his role as General Hux in the highly anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens, as well as star turns in the Oscar-buzzing Brooklyn and the fantastically previewed The Revenant.
Domhnall also spoke of the hilarious incident at the recent British Independent Film Awards, where he had to accept an award on behalf of his father, despite losing to him, and had to do the same to Tom Hardy, who completely stitched up the talented Irish man.
Your ears should be averted to around the 13.50 mark though, when the taxi Gleeson is travelling in has a bit of an accident. Have a listen.
