A legend of the genre.

Craven was an indisputable pioneer of the horror genre whose body of work spanned several decades. He directed the Scream series, as well The Hills Have Eyes and The Hills Have Eyes 2.
Craven is credited with having inspired many modern horror practitioners, and those involved in the movie business have quickly taken to Twitter in order to pay their respects to an undeniable maestro of American film.
Wes Craven reinvented horror at least four times – most directors don't even manage it once.

Very sad news about Wes Craven. A brilliant film-maker, articulate champion of horror cinema, and so much more. http://t.co/5vasXjGJ7P

You gave me nightmares as a child, then again as a grown up… and I loved every bloody minute of it. R.I.P. Wes Craven
