Jay-Z to make Great Gatsby score.
The new Baz Luhrman adaptation of The Great Gatsby, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Isla Fisher and Carey Mulligan, is set for release in the US in May.

As per Luhrman’s style, the score may feature modern music. He is well known for using contemporary music in both Romeo and Juliet and Moulin Rouge, instead of classical music as per the period of the movie setting.
Reportedly, Luhrmann blasted Jay-Z’s music on set to keep actors moods upbeat.
Isla Fisher told MTV News “On my first day he had Jay-Z pumped up full, and we did the entire scene with … Jay-Z in our ear on full blast while acting… It was just so liberating.”
The news was leaked by The Bullits performer Jeymes Samuel, who said on Twitter “Jay-Z and myself have been working tirelessly on the score for the upcoming classic The Great Gatsby. It is too DOPE for words,” according to the Guardian UK website.
But who is this Jeymes Samuel you may ask? The singer Seal’s younger brother (you know the bloke who was married to Heidi Klum).
The Great Gatsby is one the American classic novels. It tells the tale of Nick Carraway, a newcomer to Long Island, who becomes fascinated by his lavish neighbour Jay Gatsby. The more Nick gets drawn in to Jay’s life, the more things aren’t as they seem.
