JOE Exclusive: Alan Partridge has a very special and very funny greeting for his Irish fans

The film critics will have a plate with some words and a knife and a fork. What we're trying to say is that they're going to eat their words.

Eoghan Doherty

AH-HA!!!

To celebrate the upcoming release of the very, very, VERY funny Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa in Irish cinemas next week, the great man himself (that’s Alan Partridge by the way) has recorded a very special message for his Irish fans.

In it, the narcissistic North Norfolk disc jockey offers his condolences for the recently shot Celtic Tiger, accurately describes our overseas brethren as a “positive disease,”  and informs us that we should all be very proud of the film’s talented Irish director, Declan Lowney.

A point that we here at JOE fully agree with – the man is a legend. Watch this space for our interview with the acclaimed director next week.

Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa tells the story of… well, why listen to us ramble on about the plot when you can just watch the clip and have the man himself (that’s still Alan Partridge) describe it perfectly…

Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa is released in Irish cinemas on 7 August and believe us folks, it’s liquid film.
