Eight-year-old Dylan Prunty had his day considerably brightened up when the star of the LEGO Movie visited him in an LA hospital.

It has been clear for quite a while now that Chris Pratt is one of the coolest and soundest actors in the world. We have loved him from his Parks and Recreation days and while he is now in the sort of shape that makes us feel bad about how little exercise we do, we still love his very relaxed attitude to his new-found fame.

And he has been spotted putting his fame to very good use at an LA hospital.

Pratt heard about an eight-year-old called Dylan Prunty who has a horrible illness called mitochondrial disease. It affects the youngster’s immune and digestive systems and he spends a lot of time in hospital. What helps him pass the time is playing with LEGO and the Make-A-Wish foundation recently presented him with a set of the bricks that allowed him to recreate his hospital in toy form in his room.

Dylan’s love of the toy earned him the nickname ‘LEGO Kid’ and that’s where Pratt stepped in.

He made time to visit the youngster in his LA hospital, allowing Dylan to make LEGO with Emmet Brickowski himself.

A picture of the scene, posted on Reddit by a user called Angelkirie shows just what a sound man the 35-year-old actor is.

As Emmet would say: ‘Awesome’.
