Hollywood star Shia LaBeouf was in a spot of bother recently after he was accused of plagiarising his apology… after first plagiarising the work of comic book writer Daniel Clowes for his new short film HowardCantour.com.
In case you missed it, it didn’t take long before HowardCantour.com was ripped to shreds by film and comic buffs who noticed more than a few similarities between LaBeouf’s film and Daniel Clowes story ‘Justin M Damiano.’
Shia did eventually apologise, but according to Bleedingcool.com and The Hollywood Reporter, he had bizarrely stolen that text too, along with a number of famous apologies yoinked from other high-profile stars including Alec Baldwin, Tiger Woods and Mark Zuckerberg.
Following on from all of that weird movie madness, the actor has now decided to try and apologise to the cheated Clowes in a way that doesn’t involve obviously stealing from other people… we think.
And so, he had the words “I am sorry Daniel Clowes” written by a plane over the Los Angeles area on 1st January and subsequently tweeted a photo of the display. We could be wrong, but this technique may be known as plane-giarising.
