Try to stay calm lads, but there’s a Bad Boys 3 movie on the way

Thursday just got a million times better, folks.

Thursday just got a million times better, folks.

One can’t help but be a little bit cynical these days when news emerges from Hollywood that a classic movie series is being given a sequel or a reboot. Why can’t they leave it be? Are they going to ruin what’s gone before? Is it that important to shamelessly milk the cash cow all over again?

All that said, we can’t help but be more than a little excited about the fact that a third Bad Boys movie appears to be in the works, information that was revealed by one of the two main stars of the first two instalments in the series, Martin Lawrence himself. Marcus Burnett and Mike Lowrey together again? Yes please.

Speaking on Conan last night, Lawrence was asked if Bad Boys 3 would be made and replied: “I believe so. Yes. I just talked to Jerry Bruckheimer yesterday and he said it’s real, they’re working on the script, they’re getting close and it all looks good.”

Lawrence’s interview comes only weeks after he tweeted about his desire for a third movie in the series and called out Will Smith to see if he’d be up for it as well.

Details are obviously a little thin on the ground just yet but it appears as if it will happen at some stage in the not too distant future.

We think that the fantastic news calls for a little bit of this…
