The Boy Who Interviewed…
To celebrate the release of brand new film What If, we sent our man Eoghan Doherty along to chat to the star of the movie, an up and coming actor who goes by the name Daniel Radcliffe. We didn’t know too much about the young man ahead of meeting him as he seems to keep quite a low profile but, from what we had heard from other people, he seemed pleasant enough.
HA! Fooled you, you silly eejit. He’s only feckin’ Harry Potter isn’t he!? And we are happy to confirm, having been fortunate enough to interview a number of high profile actors over the years, Daniel (that’s right, we’re on first name terms now) is most definitely one of the most superdeedooper sound people we have ever had the pleasure to ask ridiculously silly questions to talk to. He really, genuinely is.
What If, in Irish cinemas from today, tells the story of Wallace (Dan the Man), a heartbroken young man who’s recently split up with his girlfriend. Things begin to look up, however, when he has a chance meeting with the lovely Chantry (Zoe Kazan) at his best friend’s party and, wouldn’t you know it, falls instantly in love with her. One problem though, she’s already got a boyfriend.
GODDAMMIT. Isn’t it always the way?
Will Wallace and Chantry ever get together? Can men and women ever really just be ‘friends?’ Or will hot, steamy, sexy sex sex get in the way of their relationship like it often has a nasty habit of doing? All of these questions and more will be answered when you definitely go and see the film this weekend.
