Yesterday we excitedly brought you the brand new trailer for the second film in The Hobbit trilogy, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.
The genius director of the Lord of the Rings films, Peter Jackson, has now made a great reaction video of Legolas (Orlando Bloom), Tauriel (Evangeline Lilly) and Thranduil (Lee Pace) and put it up on his Facebook page.
It’s not any old video though. Hold on to your wizard hats folks, it’s all going to get a little bit meta here.
The video features the three stars mentioned above, watching two überfans, who are in turn watching the stars mentioned above, in the newly-released trailer. Of course, now we’re watching the video of them doing all of that which really begs the question, who in Sauron’s name is watching us?
It’s Hobbitception.
Jackson seems to fancy Legolas quite a bit as he constantly zooms in on his little Elven face and, as Lilly points out, the whole thing might just be “more intense than the trailer.” The highlight for us though is watching three of Middle-Earth’s most noble beings absolutely laughing their hulahoops off at American girls making fools of themselves.
Check it out:
And here’s the original video of the two Tolkienites with their authentic “Elven stares” from Happy Hobbit reacting to the brand new trailer:
And, stay with us yet again, the fans have just filmed their reaction, to the stars’ reaction, to the fans’ reaction, to the trailer.
My head hurts.
