The documentary is being brought to the stage by Danson and Galfianakis…

In JOE’s opinion, The National are one of the biggest bands on the planet right now and everyone who saw them in Cork and Dublin last week will back us up on that one, they are awesome.

The band released a documentary called ‘Mistaken for Strangers’ last year and it’s hands-down, one of the funniest things we’ve ever seen. It’s filmed by lead singer Matt Beringer’s brother Tom, who joined the group on their World Tour and it follows the relationship between the two brothers as well as life on tour, we couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

The gang over at Funny or Die like it just as much we do and they’ve brought the hilarious Zach Galifianakis and Ted Danson together to create ‘Mistaken for Strangers: The Play’ and if this sketch is anything to go by, it’s going to be brilliant…

We realise that this might be a piss-take and it’s just a sketch for Funny or Die but an actual Broadway show is rumoured to be in the pipeline. Please let this happen!
