Danny Boyle's latest movie Trance sees James McAvoy get in deep trouble with hypnotist Rosario Dawson, when an art heist goes wrong.
By Genna Patterson
James McAvoy and Rosario Dawson star in the new psychological thriller, Trance. McAvoy is Simon, a fine art auctioneer who gets in with a criminal gang to steal a painting. Unfortunately he loses his memory and cannot remember where he has hidden it, causing the gang to be a little less than understanding.
Rosario Dawson is Elizabeth, a hypnotist brought in to help recover the lost memory, but soon reality and hypnotic suggestion begin to blur and then things really go wrong. With Black Swan’s Vincent Cassell as the head of the gang, McAvoy is in trouble.

Danny Boyle, who we like to claim as our own, despite being born in England (but raised in an Irish family), has a rake of successful movies under his belt. Slumdog Millionaire, 127 Hours, Trainspotting and 28 Days Later all show his talents off, and now he’s releasing mind-melter Trance. We have high expectations.
Watch the trailer to be really intrigued.
Release date March 27.
