If there's one song that's synonymous with the Bourne franchise it has to be Moby's 'Extreme Ways'. Here's the man himself explaining why he has gone back to the drawing board for the latest Bourne flick, The Bourne Legacy.
As soon as you hear the opening violin piece from Moby’s ‘Extreme Ways’, you instantly think Jason Bourne. It’s a powerful track that captures the mood of the Bourne movies perfectly. So why would Moby go back to the drawing board with a track that fits so well with the movies? To make it even better, obviously.
Here we see Moby as he explains that it would have been a tad hard getting all 110 members of the Bourne orchestra into his home studio. Moby wanted to create more of a 'juxtaposition with the orchestra' and let them be more melodic and bombastic – which basically means he wanted them to sound bigger and louder on this recording, compared to the last one.
It’s one of the best songs out there whether it’s connected to Bourne or not, but we can be glad it is. Check out what Moby has to say above and then you can have a listen to ‘Extreme Ways’ below afterwards.
The Bourne Legacy hit Irish cinema's on August 13
