Fans at the festival will be positively spoiled for choice and if you're one of the lucky ones heading along and you like your dance music, then you'll be very interested in an event taking place on the Rankin's Wood Stage on Friday night, September 2.
On the night, 2FM will be joining forces with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra to bring a unique music experience to this year's Electric Picnic festival, where fans will be able to enjoy an alternative take on some of the most memorable dance music of the 1990s.
Have a sneak peek here:
Classic anthems like Tiesto's 'Adagio for Strings', 'Insomnia' by Faithless, 'Not Over Yet' by Grace and Orbital's "Belfast" are all part of the playlist, with 2FM's Jenny Greene on the decks, and support from DJs Mo K and Dave Treacy.
Did we forget to mention that Snap's 'Rhythm is a Dancer' will get an airing as well. How could we?
It promises to be some night at the Rankin's Wood Stage. We imagine it will be something like Cypress Hill teaming up with the London Symphony Orchestra in The Simpsons.
