Audio: Did you hear what the Westboro Baptist Church called Irish people last night? Shocking stuff...

Speaking to Niall Boylan on Classic Hits 4FM last night, Abigail Phelps (pictured) from the Westboro Baptist Church said Irish people are 'knuckle dragging potato eating perverts'. Wow...

We recently reported the news that the religious extremists known as the Westboro Baptist Church were planning on picketing the funeral’s and vigils of the 20 innocent children who were killed by 20 year old Adam Lanza last Friday. The news caused uproar right across the world and many have since petitioned to have the religious status of the Westboro Baptist Church removed.

Well, last night 4FM’s Niall Boylan interviewed church member Abigail Phelps (daughter of the church’s leader, Fred) and she had some surprising things to say, as you’ll hear below. She also Tweeted not too long after the show itself...

Abigail started off by saying 'we were delighted about the killings because it was God's will'. She also said that 'the 20 children killed were sinners and so were their parents and the teachers'.

She went on to call Niall Boylan ‘a fag enabler’ for not condemning Ireland’s laws on homosexuality and as more and more callers to the show criticised her beliefs and hatred she called all Irish people ‘knuckle dragging potato eating perverts’. Seriously, listen to the audio below...

Afterwards Boylan said that 'these people need help. They are completely brain washed and full of hate', and we don’t think anyone is going to disagree with that statement.

You can check out the entire interview over on 'Niall Boylan @ Night on Classic Hits 4FM' by clicking here. Big thanks to the lads for sending over the audio.

Where in Christianity is hate-mongering an involved practice? What are Fred Phelps and the WBC afraid of anyhow? Rainbows? Unicorns? A flaming pink queer apocalypse? I attempted to address this with a portrait of the good reverend on my artist’s blog at http://dregstudiosart.blogspot.com/2011/03/fred-phelps-and-westboro-baptist-church.html Drop in and let me know what you think!

What she said about Irish people is not shocking, it's just moronic, and secondary to their general views.

If they really believe that "god sent the shooter", well then maybe god might send the next psychopathic maniac in the direction ot the WBC, and they won't have any complaints. Hideous.
