Did you buy a Lotto ticket near Limerick IT last week? Then this might be very good news
It is time for anyone who bought a Lotto ticket in the vicinity of Limerick IT last Thursday to check their pockets. They might be millionaires.
Sadly, we were not in the vicinity of the Rodahan’s Centra at Woodview Shopping Centre on the Old Cratloe Road in Limerick on Thursday. If we were, we wouldn’t be writing this, we would at home checking down the back of the sofa and under the bed for a Lotto ticket.
Why? Because somebody walked into that shop on Thursday September 30, bought a €1.50 Quick Pick ticket for the Daily Million draw and they only went and won. Problem is, they haven’t come forward yet and the rumours are starting to fly in and around Limerick.
Because of the proximity to Limerick IT, some suspect a student has scooped the prize, which could lead to the biggest booze-up ever seen in the history of the IT. That might also explain how the ticket could get lost. Maybe it is in the washing at home for mammy to do?
Whatever the reason, the shop owner Ger Rodahan told the Limerick Leader that it hasn’t been claimed yet anyway. “We haven’t a notion (who bought it),” he said. “It could be a student or it could be a resident, I don’t know now. We have a big student population around us. Nobody has been in to claim it,” he said.
So the mystery continues. A very careful winner who is waiting for the fuss to die down or an absent-minded student? Whoever it is, they have less than 90 days left to claim the €1 million.
And if you do find it after reading this article, 10 per cent will do me just fine.
