In pictures: The tale of Gary Neville's Galway stag do so far
Watch out Galway. Gary Neville is on a stag do in the City of the Tribes today and the evidence suggests that the party has already started.
The former Manchester United defender turned football pundit tweeted his 700,000 plus followers a couple of weeks back looking for suggestions on what to do while in Galway for a stag do and amongst the less vitriolic responses were to drink some cans under the Spanish Arch and visit the Supermacs in Eyre Square after the nightclub.
Neville hadn’t indicated when he was going to be arriving in the west, but as you may have seen on our Facebook page yesterday, he was spotted in Knock Airport yesterday afternoon en route to Galway, where the famous Arts Festival is in full swing at the moment.
Having tweeted brother Phil (very) early this morning to say that Galway was going excellent so far, Gary and his mates obviously started the party early today, as he has already been pictured in the Quays pub, as is evident in a picture sent into us earlier today. He looks fresh as a daisy to be fair to him, but it’s early days yet.
Gary also reportedly paid a visit to Galway Indoor Sports and Leisure Centre Pure Skill earlier today, so it could be early evening before he's back on the town again.
Although he has confessed in the past to being a light drinker, we’re sure that Gary will be enjoying the lively social scene in Galway tonight and if any Galwegians or anyone else visiting the city this weekend have any pictorial evidence of the Neviller, feel free to send them into us at email@example.com and we’ll do our best to give you a mention.
Since tweeting Phil earlier on, Gary has obviously been keeping his phone in his pocket since, but we would be surprised if he doesn’t post a visual memento of his inevitable visit to Supermacs in the early hours of tomorrow morning.
