The Swedish House Mafia gig is now looking like the concert from hell
The fall-out from Saturday night at the Phoenix Park - three people dead from suspected drugs overdoses, nine stabbed, six armed robberies and at least one video of unprovoked assaults.
The rap-list from the show - which was headlined by Swedish electronic DJ trio Swedish House Mafia and also included Snoop Dogg, Calvin Harris and Tinie Tempah - read something like this by Monday morning:
- One man died from a suspected drugs overdose
- Two others are also dead, although it remains unclear whether in fact they attended the concert on Saturday night
- Nine people were stabbed, with one of those remaining critical in hospital
- Six people were robbed of their tickets at knifepoint outside the Phoenix Park before the show
One YouTube user uploaded a video on Sunday showing the sort of stuff that was going on - and judging from the seriousness of the injuries to have come about as a result of separate incidents, this was clearly nowhere near the worst of it.
A 23-year-old man was arrested at the venue in connection with four of the stabbings.
Gardai are seeking information in relation to those and several other incidents and inviting members of the public to call Blanchardstown Garda Station on (01) 6667000 with any info.
Just heard 3 separate people I know were stabbed in 3 different incidents at Swedish House Mafia gig last night (all doing ok.)
