It was always likely to happen and sure enough George Hook took the opportunity afforded to him by Ryan Tubridy last night to have a go back at what Eamon Dunphy said last week about Ireland and his former employer Newstalk.

The rugby pundit and Newstalk presenter lands a fair few punches on Dunphy, defending the staff in the station, his own broadcasting integrity and the nation.

RTE must love that their rivals decide to tear at each other apart on their flagship show but the national broadcaster certainly has a knack for attracting attention to the Friday night gabfest these days.
