Zombies to take over Dublin today
Watch out for zombies if you’re out and about in Dublin city centre today.
As with every Saturday morning there may be a few heavy heads amongst the JOE readership but if you’re around Stephen’s Green a little later on there will be a few other zombies about.
If you see horde of the undead around don’t make for the nearest shotgun it’s only the now annual Dublin Zombie Walk.
The event will see hundreds gather and get dressed up in the best blood-drenched clothes to scare the living daylights out of tourists and old-age pensioners out for a Saturday stroll in the park.
The zombies will be rampaging from their starting point at Stephen’s Green Park from about 2pm although many will be gathering since 12pm as they multiply and are transformed from civilian-human-beings to flesh-thirsty monsters by a team of make-up artists.
Experts are expecting the mindless ghouls to make an unholy march from the St. Stephen’s Green to Templebar (ironically an area in Dublin, well-known for being frequented by moronic, uncoordinated zombies late at night.)
Don’t worry if you run afoul of this group, despite an appetite for human brains they’re a benevolent bunch and are raising funds for the Irish Cancer Society and Barnardos.
Frighteningly good causes, you’ll agree.
Got to Four Courts and see the walking dead any day of the week.
