Children trick or treating in Manchester got a Class A surprise
Sweets, fruit, maybe even some cash but we have never heard of this particular item being handed out to kids on Halloween. The police are now, understandably, involved.
According to reports in the Manchester Evening News, two people are under arrest after giving kids who called to their door trick or treating a very unusual, and very illegal, treat.
Instead of a few monkey nuts or a bag of jellies, wraps of cocaine were given to the little visitors. Luckily the children didn’t open the wraps and when they brought their haul home their parents confiscated the powerful powder and contacted the police.
A 23-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of supplying serious drugs.
The report kindly points out that the police believe the naughty nose candy was handed out in error.
