A scan released by a Rio de Janeiro hospital today, shows the skull of possibly the luckiest man on earth who is still alive after having a 6 metal bar lodged in his head.

24-year-old construction worker Eduardo Leite was pierced through his skull by a metal bar in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil after it fell from above onto his head.

Doctors successfully withdrew the iron bar from Eduardo Leite’s skull during a five-hour-long surgery.

It was said afterwards that Leite was lucid and showed no negative consequences after the operation and that “it really was a miracle” that Leite survived.

The bar fell from the fifth floor of a building under construction, went through Leite’s hard hat, entered the back of his skull and exited between his eyes.

Both the accident and surgery took place on Wednesday.
