Parents and teachers trained to spot 'signs of homosexuality'
The Malaysian Government has begun to hold seminars throughout the country to help teachers and parents identify homosexual signs in children.

In what many would deem an extreme and old-fashioned viewpoint, the Teachers Foundation of Malaysia has already held 10 seminars to educate teachers and parents of early signs of homosexual traits. According to the Daily Mail more than 1,500 attended one of the seminars last week.
The government said last March that it is looking to “curb the problem of homosexuality” especially among Muslims, who make up more than 60 per cent of the 29 million population.
Not surprisingly the seminar indicates that tight and light coloured clothes and a taste for large handbags are early signs in boys that they are homosexual. Who would have thought a boy with a large handbag has more than a passing interest in the same sex?
Details on tendencies in girls were not as forthcoming, though a particularly insightful part of the reports say that girls with no affection towards men could well be in fact lesbians. You heard it here first.
As you may have guessed, Malaysia has low tolerance levels for homosexuality and last year the the east coast state of Terengganu set up a camp for "effeminate" boys to show them how to become men.
We think the Gay Pride marches won't be taking place in Malaysia any time soon.
