Video: Wild boar wanders into bus centre in China; mayhem ensues
We can’t imagine how we’d react if a wild boar wandered into our place of work, but thankfully no-one was hurt when it happened in China at the weekend.
The sight of an animal appearing randomly in an Irish workplace in Ireland isn’t a rare occurrence, of course.
Many of you will remember the bull that turned up in the Super Valu in Ballinrobe or the cow that, eh relieved itself in a hardware store in Ennis, but as far as we’re aware, a wild boar has never showed up unannounced in a public building on these shores.
It’s a different story in China, however, or at least it was this weekend, when a wild boar ran in through the doors of a bus control centre in Shantou, in the Guangdong Province in China and wreaked a bit of havoc for about a minute before making its exit once again.
One of the staff in the bus centre did come into contact with the boar, but managed to keep it at bay with a plastic stool before the boar was on its way, breaking a glass door and a water pipe as it made an exit.
It could have been a whole lot worse, but it's still pretty scary all the same. Check it out for yourself in the video above.
