Will Ferrell and Ryan Gosling commandeer the Jimmy Kimmel show… to sell knives?

Jimmy Kimmel recently moved timeslot to 11.35 pm from midnight to better compete with his talk show rivals Jay Leno and David Letterman. What Kimmel wasn’t expecting was that Will Ferrell and Ryan Gosling would make a cameo appearance as the ‘Knife Guys’ on his show.

Claiming that he usually uses the time slot to sell knives, like an infomercial, Ferrell verbally attacks Kimmel, asking if he checked the sign-in sheet. He then proceeds with his show, ignoring Kimmel and his band. The next surprise is the entrance of his assistant Ryan Gosling who seems to be the demo guy wielding a box of various articles to be sliced by the ‘Stabmaster 2200’ samurai sword.

Gosling tries to keep a straight face as Ferrell goes feral (see what we did there?) slashing the entire boxes contents. Ferrell then cuts his hand and has to leave the show, followed by a disgruntled Gosling, throwing eye-daggers at Kimmel.

Well worth a watch, and a good start to Kimmel’s new time slot.
