Video: World's shortest freefall is not as impressive as Felix's, but much funnier

Less than a week after we marvelled at Felix Baumgartner’s incredible record ‘space’ jump, another freefall 'record' has been broken. The shortest freefall.

Thanks to the genius that is Conan O’Brien we have a world record that any of us might have a go at breaking. Inspired by Felix Baumgartner’s jump last weekend, O’Brien staged the world’s shortest freefall on his show this week.

A man called Alex Brenner was suspended a full four inches off the ground before being released, a truly terrifying drop and a you will see, his chute didn’t deploy in time.

The doctor does seem worried but we’re pretty sure he survived. Pretty sure.
