Us Irish have known for a long time that the mean streets of Clonakilty are the perfect home for gangster rap, and now so does Dr. Dre
By Adrian Collins
Clonakilty is known for many things, delicious black pudding being one, and of course, hardcore gangster rap being the other.
Or at least, that might be the case in the future, as it seems that Dr. Dre has transferred his Dre Beats businesses to the town in Co. Cork recently.
According to The Irish Times, Dre moved Beats Electronics, the manufacturers of his famous headphones, to Ireland last year, and has three registered companies here, all related to the Beats brand, but none of them have any employees bar the directors.

No word yet on whether Dre himself will be jetting in to oversee proceedings and sample some of the black pudding, but we're sure there'll probably be an invite extended at some stage.
Any chance we'll be getting a discount on those headphones now, doc?
