Ah here, Irish lads are the third ugliest in the world?

We’re outraged on your behalf lads, as a dating site has rated us the third biggest mingers in the world. The good news is our women are among the hottest.

It’s Friday, and far be it from us to take the pep out of you step but us Irish lads have not fared too well in a story on the front of the Metro this morning.

According to some crowd called beautifulpeople.com we’re the third worst looking nationality in the world. The site is an online dating one but to get on it you have to apply and if you are not rated ‘beautiful’ enough by the members, you don’t get on.

Anyway, only 12 per cent of Irish lads who applied made it onto the site. In contrast, lads from Sweden were ‘succesful’ 65 per cent of the time and almost half of all male Brazilians (42 power cent) made the grade.

In fairness, this is a slight improvement as two years ago we were bottom of the pile when it came to getting on the site. Below us now are lads from the UK (nine per cent) and Polish fellas, also on nine per cent.

The good news for us is that our women are in the top 10 worldwide, though if they are all heading to this site, that isn’t great news for us.

And a deeper look at the stats say that the most beautiful people in Ireland come from Dublin, with Limerick the least beautiful according to the site.

We reckon the lads who run this site have got it all wrong. What do you think?
