Nob Nation comic Oliver Callan has announced that he will not press charges over his pub fracas with Paul Galvin last month, although he is still demanding an apology.
According to the Irish Sun, Wexford-based McDonald solicitors, who represent Callan, sent a letter to gardai last week confirming that no charges will be pressed over the kerfuffle in Kehoe's pub last month.
"My solicitor has written to the Gardai to confirm my intention not to proceed with this case," Callan told the tabloid.
"I still want an apology because I didn't do anything wrong. My solicitor and Galvin's team have been speaking about this matter and hopefully it will soon be resolved.
A source also told the paper that the incident itself, of which the details are still sketchy, "was blown out of proportion and was just a disagreement between two high-profile individuals."
We're not sure we'd class Callan as "high-profile", but he's certainly milked the confrontation for all its worth in the past few weeks. Galvin is alleged to have attempted to headbutt and punch Callan as he is apparently none too fond of the comic's parodies of the GAA star and budding fashionista.
