A group of cowboy Irish roof-repairman is reportedly causing consternation in Finland.
It has been reported that the Irish group has been carrying out shoddy repair work, in some cases leaving rooftops in a worse condition then they found them in the Uusimaa region of Finland.
Multiple cases have been reported and the story has been highlighted by the country’s third largest newspaper and largest online news source Iltalehti.
The paper quotes one customer saying that the “Irish-run group” intimidated him. When the customer refused to pay for the negligent work the group threatened his friends who were present as well as threatening the customer’s children.
The identities of the men are known by the Finnish police, who have advised people to do background checks on their tradesmen.
Great, it looks like the economic downturn has meant some idiots have emigrated abroad and are looking to damage our reputation as well as roofs.
