Dublin was lit up by thousands partaking in the Samsung 10k Night Run last night.
By Declan Whooley
As many as 10,000 were estimated to have run, jogged and walked the 10 kilometre route that started at Westmoreland Street late last night, with runner Ailis McSweeney getting proceedings underway.
The participants were conspicuous with their bright illuminous tops and saw a wide range of racing abilities on the streets of the capital. John Coughlan was the first past the line in a time of 30 minutes and 25 seconds, while Aoife Talty was the first woman across the line.

Congratulations to all involved, from the runners to the organisers for such a well run (pardon the pun) event.
