Mazher Mahmood, the infamous ‘Fake Sheikh’ behind numerous investigations for the now defunct News of the World will be featured on a Channel 4 documentary to be aired tomorrow.
The programme which will deal with the methods used to ensnare celebrities such as Sven Goran Eriksson, George Galloway and Sophie Countess of Wessex.
It will also feature Irish Jockey Kieren Fallon who was stitched up the former head of investigations at the News of the World, now working at the Sunday Times.
Mahmood’s preferred form of investigating was to pose as a wealth Arab and this has led to accusations of entrapment and unethical journalism.
More recently Mahmood has appeared in front of the Levenson inquiry to give evidence.
It will be interesting to hear what the successful Jockey will have to say about the Fake Sheikh and the full show will be on Channel 4 at 11.05pm tomorrow evening in their Undercover at the News of the World programme.
