If you’ve ever wondered what Ireland looked like from above, way above, then wonder no more after having a peek at this pretty amazing picture taken from the International Space Station.
The image above was taken by a member of the International Space Station when it was flying 390 kilometres over the North Atlantic Ocean back in March, but it started doing the rounds on Twitter this morning when it was posted by Greg Hughes, head of news at Highland Radio in Donegal, amongst others.

Ireland and Great Britain are clearly visible in the picture and if you’re wondering what that light green hue is to the left, it’s the Aurora Borealis or the Northern Lights light display that can sometimes be seen from Donegal.
It’s often said that Ireland would be a great little country if we could only put a roof on it, but with a view like this we’re glad we’re not covered. Spectacular stuff.
